WHICH MATCHA SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Matcha differs in taste, degree of quality and areas of use - see our different varieties to be able to more easily choose which one suits you!
Our most popular matcha is Ceremonial Grade A (black jar). It is from the first harvest and grows in areas around Uji, Kyoto and the matcha is a mixture of different cultivars. Good to drink with just water but also as a latte - it's just the right amount of sweet, just the right amount of astringency and nicely green.
Our most premium matcha is Single Origin Ceremonial Grade A (white can). It is from the first harvest from an area in Nara, contains 100% yabukita (cultivar). Just like a vintage wine, it will taste different depending on the harvest. Suitable for drinking with water (usucha and koicha) – great green color, sweet taste and not too harsh. Once you start here, it's hard to go back!
Our most affordable matcha is Latte Grade. It is a mixture of different cultivars but from the second harvest. Darker green in color and somewhat harsher in taste – perfectly suited for lattes or for baking!
Our decaffeinated matcha is Kuwa Matcha Ceremonial Grade A. An organic matcha from Japan made from whole mulberry leaves instead of tea leaves. A stone-ground herbal tea with a beautiful deep green color and silky taste. |

Our supplement matcha is Smoothie Grade. A blend of shaded tea leaves (tencha) and green tea (sencha) from the second harvest. It has a rougher taste and is perfect for use in smoothies, juices, chia pudding and baked goods. |
