Japanese ceramic mortar variant with a grooved and wavy pattern on the inside - perfect for grinding! As beautifully decorative on the table as the name Suribachi indicates! Unlike a regular mortar, where the pestle is usually made of the same material as the bowl, the suribachin has a wooden pestle (called surikogi) that spares the fine notches on the inside of the bowl. When cleaning, leave to soak until the stuck-on loosens, rinse the bowl and set to dry upside down.

Användning / Dosering

Tip: Crush together sesame seeds, nutritional yeast and kale chips, so simple but oh so good. Can be advantageously used for guacamole. Recommended volume for mortar: approx. 3 dl.
