Mid-sized Suribachi beautifully patterned in blue and white with wood punch. Japanese mortar variant in ceramic with a grooved and wavy pattern on the inside - perfect for grinding with! As beautifully decorative on the table as the name Suribachi indicates! Unlike a regular mortar, where the pestle is usually made of the same material as the bowl, the suribachin has a wooden pestle (called surikogi) that spares the fine notches on the inside of the bowl. When cleaning, leave to soak until what is stuck is loosened, rinse the bowl and set to dry and turn upside down.

Användning / Dosering

Tip: Crush together sesame seeds, nutritional yeast and kale chips, so simple but oh so good. Can be advantageously used for guacamole. Recommended volume for mortar: approx. 3 dl.
