This matcha jar is handmade in Kyoto and decorated with Katazome-shi, or screen-printed Japanese washi paper. All made by hand using the same technique used to dye kimonos, Kyo-Yuzen, the paper is dyed in several stages to add each layer of pattern. A beautiful addition to the matcha ceremony and the perfect way to store matcha.
Comes with a plastic seal to keep the container airtight and the matcha powder fresh until the last scoop. As the jar is handmade, variations may occur.
