the effect of the match
We have all experienced the 15:00 dip when you often need to grab a cup of coffee. On the other hand, what matcha has that coffee does not have is theanine (usually called L-theanine), which balances caffeine's rapid impact and makes the energy curve more prolonged. You thus get the positive piggelin effect of caffeine, but avoid being speeded up and getting a slump when the effect wears off too quickly. Studies show that the amino acid L-theanine releases serotonin and dopamine in the brain, which may be the explanation why we can also experience slight stress relief and a sense of calm from matcha.
A delicate interaction between the high content of L-theanine and the caffeine in matcha can thus make us alert, calm and also concentrated at the same time. Matcha is therefore a perfect option to keep energy and focus at peak throughout the working day - good even for a coffee drinker!
ORGANIC MATCHA FROM JAPAN
We only sell matcha of the highest quality from Japan, which is a prerequisite for your matcha to be as good and useful as possible. The matcha is made from shaded and finely ground tea leaves, full of nutrients and antioxidants that have been picked, cleaned, steamed and dried according to tradition - of course always organic!
