Japanese organic Hojicha made from high-quality whole Sencha and Bancha leaves from carefully selected tea farms – low caffeine content! Roasted at high temperature and stone ground to a fine powder with a nutty flavor, smooth sweetness, mild umami and beautiful brown color. Perfect as a latte or in ice cream and pastries.
Usage / Dosage
Dose the hojicha powder with a matcha spoon, for normal strength Usucha a ridged spoon, which is then whisked in hot water or milk (80°) with a bamboo whisk as you pour in more and more (approx. 2 dl). For Iced Latte Kyoto Style, pour 50ml of whipped Hoichja into a glass of ice-cold plant-based milk.
Always store the hojicha powder in the accompanying design tin can. It has an extra tight-fitting inner lid that protects the matcha powder from oxidizing. Pour the contents of the bag into the jar and close with the plastic lid.
