Our cassava chips are made in Peru from the cassava that is picked by hand on a small plantation on the coast. The root is rich in minerals such as zinc, magnesium, copper, iron and manganese. The chips are gently fried in extra fine sunflower oil (high oleic sunflower oil) and salted to emphasize the nutty taste. A lovely crunchy alternative when you're tired of regular potato chips and want to try something different! Suitable for most accessories and are equally appreciated for the Friday cozy as for the mingle, by both children and adults.
We use a specially selected sunflower oil (high oleic sunflower oil) with an extra high proportion of oleic acid and about a tenth as low a proportion of omega-6 as in traditional sunflower oil. The sunflower oil thus becomes stable at high temperatures and therefore does not form trans fats.
