In Japan, you can see amazing green pastries everywhere, all baked with matcha. And it's not hard to understand why—matcha is incredibly fun to bake with! Its vibrant green color and characteristic flavor are addictive. Whether you want to make ice cream, frosting, cookies, cakes, or buns, matcha adds something unique to all recipes.
For the best results when baking with matcha, we recommend using our Matcha – Ceremonial Grade A or Kuwa Matcha. While regular matcha provides excellent flavor, Kuwa matcha gives an exceptional green color.
Feel free to combine matcha with vanilla, cardamom, lime, raspberries, or blueberries!
Things to consider when baking with matcha!
If you're baking cookies, buns, or bread, matcha tends to make the dough a bit dry. Add more liquid to the recipe if needed.
